Category 2 (internal connections): Overview of Request The Dauphin County Library System is currently seeking bids for network edge and core switch upgrades for 8 total locations/branches. Deadline for vendor proposals Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 5:00 pm Eastern. We reserve the right to reject late-submitted proposals. Proposals must be emailed to the Form 470 contact unless otherwise noted. Bidders must have a valid SPIN registered within the e-rate/FCC program. DCLS Background The Dauphin County Library System comprises 8 total locations/branches. Currently, we have a fully lit fiber network, WAN connectivity to all 8 locations, and 2 primary EDI (internet) hubs that provide internet access to all 8 locations. Technical services we provide: Microsoft cloud-based e-mail, SharePoint, document storage and collaboration for business/staff operations Internet service to staff and patrons, computer PCs and laptops in-house for usage WIFI service to staff and patrons Internet/cloud connectivity for ILS management Proposal for Requested Hardware Managed Switches We are seeking bids for Cisco Catalyst 9200L 48 Port partial PoE+ managed network switches, or equipment that is equivalent in functionality and quality, that will provide our core routing and connectivity between 8 public library locations across Dauphin County, PA. The equipment must be compatible with all existing network infrastructure/devices which are made up of Cisco 2960, Meraki MS250-48FP and Meraki MX95 . We are seeking 16 devices, 2 per location (locations shown below). We do reserve the right to purchase fewer units than the total. We are also looking for PoE capabilities with minimum of 750W per device with the ability to add additional power supply if needed.
