Category 2 (internal connections): Worcester County School District is seeking proposals for E-Rate eligible Category Two internal connections equipment, licenses, cabling, removal of existing cabling, and basic maintenance to support district-wide wired networking across twelve (12) buildings. Solutions must be scalable, interoperable with existing infrastructure, and appropriate for a K-12 environment. Term: Five (5) years. The District seeks five (5) years of support and maintenance for district-owned network switches, including software updates, firmware, technical support, and hardware replacement in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This is not a request to purchase any equipment. The District requests a cloud-based solution for managing and updating 268 network switches, including applying software patches and addressing bugs and fixes. In addition, a component of Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections (BMIC) is requested for onsite support of approximately 268 edge switches, on an as needed basis for a five-year term with annual billing. The District requests Category 6A structured network cabling, including approximately 2,200 network drops across 11 buildings, meeting current ANSI/TIA standards. Proposals must include removal and proper disposal of existing network cabling where new cabling is installed. Removal activities shall be performed in accordance with applicable safety and building standards. Cabling proposals must include itemized pricing, including: Per network drop pricing Per patch cable pricing for 2,200 3 ft cables 6 ft plastic wiremold (raceway) cordmates - Quantity 450 Any associated E-Rate eligible labor costs For all requested equipment and/or services, the District seeks all E-Rate eligible ancillary components, including but not limited to modules, optics, power supplies, mounting hardware, and cables necessary to make the equipment fully operational. Equivalent solutions may be proposed if they meet or exceed the stated specifications. Proposals must clearly separate eligible and ineligible costs in accordance with E-Rate rules. Evaluation will be based on price of eligible products and services, technical compliance, and overall value to the District.
