Category 2 (internal connections): Vendors are responsible for monitoring this site for updates. Please see RFP for full details. The Washington School District issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Structured Cabling and Category 2 equipment. Prospective Vendors must direct and confine all inquiries and communications concerning this procurement via e- mail to both the Issuing and Technology Officer, and the E-rate Consultant at the same time. The due date for vendor questions is 10 AM on January 12, 2026. Questions should include FY 2026 E-rate Category 2 Question in the subject line to ensure that the Issuing officer identifies the email as relating to this procurement. All Questions and Answers will be added to the RFP documents by 2 PM on that day. The due date for all submittals is February 10, 2026 at 10 AM Eastern. All requested documents must be submitted. Vendor Pre-Bid Walk-Through: The District will conduct a mandatory pre-bid vendor walk-through on December 30, 2025 at 9 AM EST to explain the specs for the structured cabling and equipment work and allow vendors to conduct their own distance measurements. Vendors are solely responsible for their own measurements. Vendors should meet at the Washington High School lobby. There will not be a second scheduling of site walkthroughs. Washington School District is requesting proposals for a structured cabling project in the High School, and eligible Category 2 equipment for the Elementary and High School. Included in this proposal are informational maps (Appendix B) and Pricing spreadsheet (Appendix A) which includes the building cable (we are requesting Cat 6a), the switches, access points, and other equipment for the buildings.
